Weyr Policy: Rider Transfers

Transferring In

The first thing you should do if you'd like to transfer your rider to Ista Weyr is to contact your current Weyr admin and let them know your intention. We don't want to surprise anyone or create any bad blood between areas due to a lack of communication. We will likely be talking to your current Weyrleaders to make sure that they know you have asked to transfer.

If your current Weyr has reason to deny your transfer, we will not accept your request.

But, let's assume that they don't have any problem with it and move on to the next step. ;) Once you have contacted your current Weyr, you must +mail Ista's admins with your official request to transfer. Just chatting with an admin about it does not count and we will not make any move to pursue your transfer without an official +mail. In that mail, we'd like to have a general gist about why you want to transfer your character, both IC and OOC. We may get back to you asking for more information, or a chance to meet and talk.

If we don't approve your transfer, you will get +mail explaining why. If we do, you'll get +mail telling you so. We'll get you set up on the knot, have your DTU updated, assign you to a wing and get you settled in a new weyr and then, tah-dah, all done!

Transferring Out

It is not our policy to deny requests to transfer out of the Weyr. However, as a courtesy we do request that you +mail the Weyr admins with your intent before you apply for transfer to your potential destination. In this +mail we ask that you let us know where you plan on going, and your reasons IC and OOC. This isn't meant to restrict you, but to let us know if there is some issue we might be able to address as well as to give us a heads up on the IC happenings. Please know that we wish you the best of luck wherever you decide to play.
