Search Application

Greetings! We recommend that all applicants read the Search Walk-Through documents and skim the Frequently Asked Questions before filling out this application. It is assumed applicants will be familiar with their contents.

If you're interested in search, we recommend registering with '+register <name>=<email address>' from any Istan room to let us know that you're thinking about applying. Then we can keep you apprised of changes to the schedule or approaching deadlines. And if you do choose to apply, you'll be able to '+register/check' to see if we've received your application.

All applicants must fill out the Search Application; those who wish to apply for a gold dragon must also fill out the gold section. The form below submits results online; if you find the forms do not work for you, email Nenita with your answers. Should you have questions, do not hesitate to ask via page or +mail. Most importantly, take your time and relax! Be genuine, be yourself and don't stress too much over your answers. ;)

Note: We strongly recommend that you write your answers out ahead of time in another program and use cut-and-paste to put the answers into the form. We do not anticipate problems with the forms, but know how frustrating it would be to lose the answers if a problem did occur.

Search Application:

  1. What is your character's name?    

  2. What is your email address?    

  3. What is your character's age?    

  4. Tell us about your character. Include a brief background, personality, goals, how you'd like to see your character develop through Impression and anything else you'd like to share.



  5. Do you wish to apply as a stand only candidate?



  6. What color or colors of dragon are you most interested in Impressing? Tell us how Impressing each color might affect your character.



  7. Tell us about the sort of dragon you'd like to see your character Impress. Feel free to include thoughts on personality, appearance and name. You will be asked for more specific thoughts on the final application.



  8. (Optional) Do you have any other comments, requests, questions, etc about your character or candidacy in general?



Gold Questions

If you have listed gold as one of the colors you are interested in impressing, please answer the following questions.

  1. Why do you want to impress gold?



  2. Why does impressing at Ista appeal to you?



  3. In the absence of competition, why should we impress you?
