Puppeteers
What is a puppetteer? A puppetter is someone who will log your character in during the hatching, perhaps pose a few times, log the scene for you and log out after the hatching. It is generally a friend, someone you trust or someone that knows your character moderately well.
Why do I need a puppetteer? You need a puppetteer because if your character is not connected during the hatching, we cannot impress you. Even if you anticipate being able to attend the hatching, you never know what might happen, your router might blow or your ISP might give out. Your puppetteer would be your backup in those cases.
What do I give my puppetteer? You should make sure that you do the following:
Backup your character. Use '@decompile me' and copy the returned commands into a text file that you will save on your computer. This way, if anything unexpected happens, you have a copy of everything that is currently set on your character.
Change your password. In order for your puppetteer to log you in, they will need your password. You can plan to change your password after the hatching, but you might find it easier to give them a temporary password and to return to your usual one after the hatching is over. To reset your password use '@password <old password>=<new password>'.
Send your puppetteer +mail including the following things:
- Your password
- Your robe description
- A few poses of standing on the sands
- A pose for if you impress
- A pose for if you do not
What if I cannot find puppetteer? If you cannot find a puppetteer, +mail the information above to the WL and we will make sure that you are logged in for the hatching. We will not be able to pair you up with a puppetteer before hand.
