Search Cycle Walk-Through

NorConMUSH follows the traditions of search, candidacy, and impression, although these have been modified slightly to fit the game world. Each Weyr does their cycle slightly differently and as such the search process is one of the least fully understood by new players and most often subject to incorrect answers, rumors and myths. Just because another Weyr does things a certain way doesn't mean we will. In addition, the methods we use are in regular flux as we experiment with new ideas and eliminate outdated processes, so it's important to take note of updates along the way.

The following pages will explain the current search process at Ista Weyr in detail and it will attempt to anticipate the most commonly asked questions. While written to address those applying before the actual flight and clutching, this document nonetheless is relevant for all stages of the search period.
