Search Cycle Walk-Through: Meet the Weyr

If you're planning on applying for candidacy at Ista weyr, you should probably make sure that Ista is the right place for you. Being a rider is a commitment that you wish to roleplay here with us and so it's important that you like the place before you attempt to become a rider here; these are the people you may find yourself playing with for months and years to come. Each Weyr has its own distinct flavor and atmosphere, and we suggest you spend time getting to know us before you decide that you'd like to apply.

The best time to find out if you like Ista Weyr is before the gold rises. Before the flight, the Weyr will have a more relaxed atmosphere and it will better reflect what you can expect during all but the few weeks of the search cycle. The faces you see around the Weyr during this time are our regular riders and staff, the people who have made Ista Weyr the place that it is.

All prospective candidates are expected to read all of the information associated with 'news policy' and to act within the policy guidelines. Information on the MUSH and the setting of Pern can be found in the 'news' files, and Ista Weyr has a lot of info in '+lhelp' as well as on this website.
